Large crocodile rescued by a policeman. How the protected species ended up in the yard of an institution in Bucharest

A large crocodile, a protected species, was rescued by a local policeman from Bucharest, after it fell in the snow in the yard of an institution on Șoseaua Olteniței.

A bird protected by law was saved by a local policeman from the Capital. The announcement was posted on the Facebook page of the Capital City Hall, and the local policeman, Ștefan, is described as a gentle man, who reduced the bird's stress.

“A mission of the soul! Today, I saved a protected bird, a large crocodile. It fell in the yard of an institution on the Olteniţi Road, due to exhaustion or weather conditions. It most likely flew from the nearby Văcărești Delta! It was found by Ștefan, a local policeman at the Animal Police. Once it reached the snow, the bird remained captive, with no chance of to resume its flight on its own. The policeman intervened gently: he wrapped her in a towel to reduce her stress, then carefully placed her in a special cage. He quickly took her to the Rescue Center and Wildlife Rehabilitation, where she was taken in by a veterinarian specializing in the treatment of wildlife. It has no fractures or injuries to the wings or limbs! The little bird will be released into the wild.
