A black teacher from RUDN University was detained for illegally organizing marriages of Nigerians with “Russian brides”
A 49-year-old teacher at the Department of Innovation Management, Ekpobodo Raymond Ovvigho, has been charged with organizing fictitious marriages of Nigerian citizens with Russian women. Nigerians paid from 60 to 150 thousand rubles for marriage.
Together with the RUDN University teacher, 4 more people were detained: three Russian citizens and one Nigerian citizen. The scheme has been running since 2021, with a total of 11 Nigerians benefiting from it.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article “Organization of illegal migration.”
