The performances of actor Valery Afanasyev are under threat of cancellation due to loss of vision. The 75-year-old People's Artist complains that he is almost blind in one eye.
According to Mash, problems with the retina of the right eye began two years ago. Then Afanasyev underwent a course of treatment with intraocular injections to preserve his vision. This helped for a while.
Now, to the problems with the retina, cataracts have been added, which affects visual function. Doctors recommended Afanasyev to go to the hospital for surgery. He is preparing to be hospitalized.
Valery Afanasyev has starred in more than 200 films, and now plays in productions in Moscow theaters (“Marriage”, “Players”, “Peter I”).
