Stas Yarushin and his music show are facing a lawsuit for 25 million rubles – from a scattering of artists for using their songs without permission. This was the result of a legal dispute with Instasamka, where Yarushin lost again.
According to Mash, as a result of the first meeting in June, Yarushin was ordered to remove the episode with Mia Boyko, where they sang “For money, yes,” and to pay Instasamka two million rubles in moral compensation. He refused – he filed an appeal, offered 550k and not to delete the issue. The second meeting was today.
On it, Yarushin’s representative stated that the release contained a parody that was in no way intertwined with the original “For money, yes.” The court declared this take invalid. The Instasamka team prepared and presented to the court a whole list of potentially affected artists whose tracks were covered on the podcast. This is about 50 songs, and the total amount of damage is about 25 million.
Now, if each performer files a lawsuit, then, in addition to money, Stas may again be required to share almost all of the show’s materials. The result of today: the court again sided with Zoteeva, ordered Yarushin to remove the video and pay her 550k.
