The last time a player from our championship managed to score five stages in a row happened almost 6 years ago, in 2020. Elvir Koljic, then at the University of Craiova, started the season brilliantly, but a terrible injury sent him to the operating table.

On Sunday evening, Chițu opened the scoring in the match against Botoşani in the 31st minute. Neguț passed into the box, and Chițu took advantage of a mistake in the defense of the Moldovans to send into the goal.

He thus continues to confirm the very good form shown in the last matches. He had also got his name on the score sheet in the last three stages of the regular season, as well as in the first game of the play-outs.

The last 5 matches in which Aurelian Chițu scored:

  • 28th round, FK Csikszereda – FC Hermannstadt 2-1, 1 goal;

The last player to score five stages in a row was Elvir Koljic, (six goals), in the first 5 rounds of the 2020/21 edition. The Bosnian's streak then stopped on October 2, 2020, when he was seriously injured by Mihalache, in a match that Craiova played with Poli Iasi, suffering a fibula fracture.
