PiS politicians: MEP Tobiasz Bocheński, party spokesman Rafał Bochenek and deputy head Mateusz Kurzejewski organized a press conference on Monday in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister entitled “The rich from KPO”. Before the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, they set up photos depicting the politicians of the ruling coalition, whose families – in their opinion – are beneficiaries of KPO funds.

According to Bochnia, KPO funds must be checked. As he reported, in this case PiS MEPs performed “to the OLAF institution in the EU, which is to check the spending of funds at KPO”.

– We also submitted, as MEPs to the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, so that the EU budget commissioner Piotr Serafin, a close, trusted collaborator of Donald Tusk would be excluded from the control of these funds. Because it cannot be that someone is a judge in their own case – emphasized MEP.

– If the EU does not do it, we declare that when PiS returns to power, our priority will be the development of Poland, but also the settlement of those who took money from KPO – said Bocheński.

Kurzejewski noted that KPO is a loan that “we will all pay back”. – It turns out that we will all repay a loan taken for the needs of the family interest of the Sejm deputy marshal of Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the family interest of Mr. Ko Artur Łącki, who is the richest MP in the Polish Sejm, and yet he bowed to an additional million zlotys – he added.

Bochenek appealed to that the rulers would answer “what were the criteria for the distribution of money? How did it happen that their colleagues in the government very often decided on the assumption of funds, and the beneficiaries are families of other politicians of the ruling coalition.”

At the Friday conference, the Minister of Funds Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz reported that all signed projects with funding from KPO for the Horeca industry, i.e. 3206 contracts, were initially verified. In the case of 39 contracts, an in -depth inspection was carried out and 7 irregularities were found and assured that in -depth inspections would continue.

In August this year There were doubts around the subsidy for diversification of activities for enterprises from HoReCa sectors (hospitality, gastronomy) that suffered as a result of a pandemic; According to media reports, the company received subsidies from KPO, including for yachts and saunas.

Recruitment under the name “Investments in the diversification of the activities of the HoReCa sector” was addressed to micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneurs operating in the hotel, gastronomy, catering, tourism and culture affected by Covid-19 pandemic in Poland. Support was intended for investments, training or consulting.

The amount of co -financing was from 50 thousand. up to 540 thousand PLN (up to 90 percent) of eligible costs, which could amount to a maximum of 600 thousand. zloty. Support was provided in the form of reimbursement of expenses from the KPO subsidy part. At least 70 percent all project outlays had to be allocated to investment activities; For training or consulting it could have been a maximum of 30 percent.

The national plan for reconstruction and increased immunity (KPO) is to strengthen the Polish economy; It consists of 57 investments and 54 reforms. It provides for Poland EUR 59.8 billion from EU funds, including EUR 25.27 billion in the form of subsidies and EUR 34.54 billion in the form of preferential loans.
