A competition for collecting hunting cartridges with a prize for the heaviest weight has been announced in Yakutia

March 19 16:20
The Ministry of Ecology of Yakutia launched the “Clean Lands: Collection of Shells” competition. Hunters are urged not to throw away used cartridges, but to recycle them in order to reduce pollution of nature with heavy metals, KP-Yakutia reports.
Lead and copper from spent cartridges end up in the soil and water, harming the environment and wild animals. To incentivize hunters, there will be a prize waiting for the person who surrenders the heaviest weight in kilograms.
There are conditions: the cartridges must be dry, cleaned of primers, gunpowder residues, bullets, rust and dirt. They are accepted in containers convenient for weighing. Casings from sporting cartridges are not included in the competition.
