According to the GUFSIN, this year almost a thousand people from 230 correctional institutions and centers across the country took part in the competition. Women competed in five categories: business card, creative act, representation of their region, fashion show and the “Hostess” culinary competition.

Irina beat all her rivals thanks to her versatile talents. For the creative stage, she wrote a song about how even in difficult moments, gardens of feelings and emotions bloom in everyone’s soul. At the fashion show, the girl came out in a suit of her own design – a black dress with a rib-shaped corset. And in a culinary competition, she surprised the jury with ice cream according to her own recipe, prepared according to the rules of a healthy diet.

The winner was awarded a diploma and gifts. The award ceremony was held in a video conference format, and was attended by representatives of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service and the public organization “Mothers of Russia”.

Irina was born and raised in Krasnoyarsk. Before her conviction, she was involved in fitness and healthy eating, but she considers creativity to be her main hobby. She is a laureate of the theater competition “Theatrical Spring” and performed at the street musicians festival in Irkutsk. Now in the colony he continues to write songs, arrange arrangements and act in the theater.

Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Andrei Shmidko noted that such competitions help convicts reform and prepare them for a successful life after release.
