Eliminated by the referee for protests in Saturday's game with Atalanta (1-1), Cristi Chivu was suspended for a stage. Assistant Aleksandar Kolarov escaped without any punishment today in the meeting of the Disciplinary Commissionso the Serbian will lead Inter from the sidelines in the match against Fiorentina, from the 30th round.
After receiving two yellow cards and consequently being sent off (the second time in his career as an antenor, after the “red” seen in Parma) on Saturday, the “principal” of Inter received a suspension of one match.
The decision of the Disciplinary Commission was not accompanied today by a fine for Cristi Chivu, as his “second”, Aleksandar Kolarov, even got away with it!

The former coach of the U21 national team of Serbia reacted nervously and behaved disrespectfully towards the referee Manganiello and towards the opponents of Atalanta, but he was lucky that in the match report drawn up by the “central” Manganiello there were no elements on the basis of which he could be judged.
Chivu was also suspended before a match with Atalanta, after he had been eliminated, with a straight red card, in Parma!
Chivu saw the two yellow cards in the 83rd and 85th minutes, and this one would have shouted two words to the “central” Gianluca Manganiello: “Era fallo”, translated into Romanian “It was a foul”.
Chivu was terribly disturbed by Gianluca Manganiello's decision. He consulted VAR to validate the 1-1 goal scored by Krstovic, and the “nerazzurri” claimed a foul in attack committed by Sulemana on Dumfries.
The Italian Referees Association (AIA) today confirmed the correctness of the “central” decision, considering that it was too light a contact to cancel the goal scored by the Atalanta striker.

Dumfries tried to shield the ball in front of Sulemana, the Atalanta player pushed the Dutchman and the right-back went down. Then Sulemana shot to the far corner, Sommer deflected in front and Krstovic leveled without emotion. Cristi Chivu protested and saw two yellow cards in a span of two minutes.
Chivu was also suspended before a match against Atalanta, after he was sent off (with a straight “red”) at the end of the Parma – Napoli 0-0 match, from the penultimate stage of the last championship.
