Garage thieves will appear in court in Krasnoyarsk. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
From January to May 2025, police departments on the left bank of Krasnoyarsk received 14 applications from garage owners about thefts. In total, property worth more than 2 million rubles was stolen by unknown persons. The items stolen included hats, mittens, sports tents, tools, tires and even linoleum. Thefts occurred day and night, with thieves breaking into garage doors or gates.
The police found out that the same people could be involved in all the thefts. As a result, operatives were able to identify the attackers and detain them. They turned out to be two previously repeatedly convicted residents of Krasnoyarsk.
In all cases, men opened doors and gates with master keys and took out property, after which they sold it and spent the money on their own needs. In several cases, they even re-locked the garages. During the searches, some of the stolen property was seized and returned to the owners.
Currently, a criminal investigation is underway under Parts 2 and 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft” is over. The man will appear in court. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against one of the defendants.
