In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a foreign citizen is suspected of trying to bribe a police officer.
According to the Investigative Committee of the region, on March 12 in the Sosnovoborsky municipal district, during operational activities, police identified a migrant who was illegally in Russia. He was taken to the police department to draw up an administrative protocol under Part 1.1 of Art. 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation by a foreign citizen of the rules of entry or stay in the Russian Federation).

“At the police department, the suspect, wanting to avoid administrative responsibility, tried to hand over a bribe in the amount of 50 thousand rubles to the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Berezovsky”. The police officer refused the bribe and stopped the man’s illegal actions,” the regional investigative committee said.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the 47-year-old suspect under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted bribery to an official). At the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the man.
In a criminal case, the necessary investigative actions are carried out aimed at collecting and consolidating the evidence base.
