Huge queue to pay taxes and fees in Alba Iulia. People queued for hours to grab the 10% discount
On Monday morning, an impressive queue formed at the headquarters of the Revenue Department of Alba Iulia City Hall. Hundreds of people, most of them elderly, stood in line for hours to pay their local taxes and fees, motivated by the reduction announced by the authorities, Ziarul Unirea reports.
It is about the 10% bonus granted to those who pay their contributions to the local budget in full by March 31.
Despite the fact that taxes for the year 2026 can be paid as early as January 12, and the discount was granted from the first day of collections, many left the payment until the last part of March.

The phenomenon is not a new one.
In recent years, the month of March has traditionally become the time when the counters are stormed by locals who want to take advantage of the discount, which often leads to the formation of huge queues.

There are two methods by which you can obtain the login data. The municipality where you have payment obligations can generate your login data following a request made in this regard. You can request access data (username and password) from the public institution to which you have payment obligations, if the institution is registered in the system and is active for payment with authentication. You can access the contact details of the Public Institution by “clicking” on the name of the institution in the Enrolled Institutions Section.
There is also the online method of obtaining login data. Go to the “REQUEST ACCESS DATA” section on the front page of giseul.ro and go through the steps: “CNP verification” – “Card validation” – “Send email with login data”.
Also, as a legal person, in order to obtain access data, it is recommended to contact the tax department electronically in the range of which the properties in question are registered. If you own movable or immovable property in several localities, any of them can provide you with access data in Ghiseul.ro. Once the access data has been released by a public institution, you cannot appeal to another public institution for a new release.
