In the coming week, the police will present a Ford Mustang in police colors; the car will start serving in one of the Masovian police headquarters – the spokeswoman of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom told PAP. Katarzyna Kucharska. Earlier, pursuant to a court order, the car was confiscated from a drunk driver.

Podinsp. Kucharska announced that this was the first Ford Mustang that was confiscated from a driver in connection with a crime committed and, pursuant to a court ruling, it was handed over to the police.

“Our garrison already had several cars of other brands with a similar history. The police are requesting that the car forfeited be handed over to them, based primarily on the technical condition of the vehicle and current needs,” Kucharska said.

The spokeswoman of the Provincial Police Commander in Radom announced that in the coming week the repainted Mustang will officially debut in police colors, and during the presentation the police will inform in which command the vehicle will serve and to what tasks it will be assigned.

The Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom also reported on Saturday that false information had appeared on the Internet that the Mustang, taken from a drunk driver and handed over to police for use, had suffered an accident.

“We're reassuring you – it's fake news. The car is intact and doing well. We would like to remind you: drive responsibly and never get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol. Otherwise, it may turn out that your car will end up in the hands of police officers and will be used to ensure the safety of other road users,” the Radom police station reported on the X website.
