Fast is first! Giulești prevailed in the derby with Dinamo, score 3-2thanks to the successes of Grameni, Petrila and Vulturar. Armstrong, from the penalty spot, and Cîrjan scored for Zeljko Kopic's side.

Rapid and Dinamo offered a match with rhythm, nerve and hot phases, the match having all the characteristics of a genuine derby. Who stepped up, who disappointed, and who kept the team alive through the tough times? We analyze the performances of all the players and give the marks after the derby in Giulesti.

The scores of the Giulești players in the derby:

  • Marian Aioani – grade 5. He scored a goal in the only threatening phases of the Dynamo players.

  • Răzvan Onea – grade 6. Almost caused an own goal in the first half, pretty safe overall. He also had an excellent intervention, at the score of 1-2.

  • Alexandru Pașcanu – grade 6. In the team note.

  • Lars Kramer – grade 7. Good. He won all but one of his duels.

  • Andrei Borza – grade 4. He arrived late to the duel with Musi in the 5th minute, fouled the Dynamo player and committed a penalty, granted with the help of VAR. Dynamo opened the scoring quickly, due to his negligence. Easily dribbled by Musi and at Dynamo's 2nd goal. He got the elimination of Duțu.

  • Olimpiu Moruțan – grade 6. “Magician” in the middle of the field, raised the stands several times with his dribbles, but without concrete achievements.

  • Cătălin Vulturar – grade 7. Very uncertain, without providing help on the construction, but “came out” with the goal in the 85th minute.

  • Dina Grameni – grade 8. He restored parity with a shot from outside the box at a key moment in the game. Very safe in interventions in the middle.

  • Alex Dobre – grade 6. He squandered a huge 2-2 chance with a header from 4 yards, sending it straight into the arms of Epassy. Deleted.

  • Daniel Paraschiv – grade 5. Nonexistent. He only touched the ball 7 times and was substituted in the 55th minute.

  • Claudiu Petrila – grade 8. Very active in the lane, Rapid's most dangerous man in the first half. He scored a super goal in the 67th minute, directly at the penalty spot, from 20 meters. I also assist Grameni's goal.

  • Costel Gâlcă, coach – grade 8. Checkmate Kopic again – for the third time this season.

Along the way they entered:

  • Elvir Koljic ('55) – grade 6. Fierce with an anemic shot from the edge of the box. He helped his teammates more than Paraschiv through combativeness.

  • Talisson ('89) – He played too little to be noted.

  • Gabriel Gheorghe ('89) – He played too little to be rated.

  • Jakub Hromada ('89) – He played too little to be noted.

How did the Dynamo players manage in Giulești:

  • Devis Epassynote 5. He conceded a goal in 3 of the 4 shots on goal by the speedsters. However, the first two were unstoppable.

  • Maxime Sivis – grade 6. Without mistakes in defense, he also tried to contribute in the attack phase. He had problems with Petrila and Borza, but he handled himself honorably.

  • Matteo Duțu – grade 5. Very good on debut as a starter. He intervened to save Pașcanu's header in the 13th minute, but his lack of experience had its say in the end, when he was eliminated after a hit on Borza.

  • Nikita Stoinov – grade 6. Led the defense in the absence of Boateng.

  • Raul Opruț – grade 6. 9 out of 12 accurate passes, 5/6 ground duels won, 2/3 aerial duels won.

  • Alberto Soro – grade 5. No achievements.

  • Eddy Gnahore – grade 5. “Anchor” from midfield. Inspired by the 2nd goal, he jumped over the ball perfectly, without mistakes, but not with too many achievements. Slows the game down a lot.

  • Cătălin Cîrjan – grade 7. Goal against former team. He put the inspired side from a few meters. Otherwise, deleted.

  • Alexandru Musi – grade 7. Dynamo's best man. He got a shot from 11 meters, after only 5 minutes, he gave the decisive pass to the success of Cătălin Cîrjan, he completely dominated Borza.

  • Alexandru Pop – grade 5. Fierce, but without achievements, except for one shot wide at the start of the game.

  • Danny Armstrong – grade 7. He converted without emotion from the penalty spot, also scoring against the white-cherry rivals from the Capital, after achieving the same 3 times with FCSB, in the summer.

  • Zeljko Kopic, coach – grade 6. He tried to change the game philosophy of the “dogs”, but the absences had their say.

Along the way they entered:

  • Valentin Țicu ('70) – grade 5. Obviously out of rhythm.

  • Jordan Ikoko ('75)note 6. Sure on him. He won his duels.

  • Cristi Mihai ('75)note 5. No achievements.

  • Ianis Tarbă ('83) – He played too little to be noted.

  • Georgi Milanov ('83) – He played too little to be noted.

  • Istvan Kovacs – grade 5: questionable decisions on Rapid's second goal and the elimination of Duțu. It fragmented the game too many times. He needed VAR's intervention at the “dogs” penalty at the start of the game.

  • Ferencz Tunyogi and Alexandru Corb – grade 6. No problems.
