The former head of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Eremin commented on the election of Sergei Vereshchagin to the post of mayor of the city. He noted the professional and personal qualities of the new manager, and also, taking into account his five years of experience in managing the regional center, gave him parting words.

“… When a city is without a leader for a long time, it is like a family without an elder: it seems to live, but without a firm hand and peace of mind. Sergei Viktorovich has strong management experience. It is very important that he is a father of many children: this is a school of patience and justice. Together this is the management formula – a strategic mind and a fatherly heart. In fact, I wish for something very simple, but extremely necessary: to hear the living voice of people, the pulse of the streets, make decisions on time and in a businesslike manner, not lose momentum and take care of our Krasnoyarsk. Good luck, our dear, my Krasnoyarsk!” Sergei Eremin wrote on his social networks.
Let us remind you that the decision to elect Sergei Vereshchagin as head of Krasnoyarsk was made today, December 23, as a result of an open vote of deputies at an extraordinary session of the City Council. Taking into account the peculiarities of regional legislation, Vereshchagin was elected mayor not for five years, but for the term of office of the current convocation of the city Council of Deputies – that is, until 2028.
The inauguration ceremony of the new head of Krasnoyarsk will take place on December 25, 2025 at 12:00. The online broadcast will be conducted onon the page city administration.
