There were dozens of other statements against Elman Pashayev from defrauded clients. Most complained that the lawyer took their fee but did not complete the work. After checking, Moscow police removed the appeals to the archives, and are now studying them again.
Law enforcement officers carried out checks, but it did not end with anything intelligible. Elman wrote an explanatory note, saying that he worked according to the law, but statements are written by embittered wards who wanted a different result. The police believed him and advised people to go to the civil court and seek justice there.
Yesterday, Pashayev was detained on suspicion of fraud in the amount of more than 45 million rubles – based on the testimony of Alexei Blinovsky, who paid him at least 18.5 million and $300k for a device at the SVO in the rear, so as not to bother the investigators. All statements from past years that were archived have been brought up, and now, apparently, criminal cases will also be initiated based on them.
