Victor Angelescu, minority shareholder and president at Rapidsays that Dinamo is the hardest opponent that the Giulești could overcome in the first stage of the play-off.

Rapid won both derbies with Dinamo in the regular season, 2-0 in the first leg and 2-1 in the second leg, but Victor Angelescu is convinced that the team coached by Zeljko Kopic will have extra motivation in this regard. The red-whites come after 3 consecutive defeats in the championship.

Victor Angelescu is safe before Rapid – Dinamo: “They are playing their last chance for the title”

Dinamo is the hardest opponent we could lose to in the first stage of the play-off. Besides the fact that it's a derby, if we don't give 200%, we have no chance. I have no doubt that Dinamo, after three defeats, will not come here to leave everything on the field.

If we think that we have beaten them in the last matches and that we are in 2nd place and they are in 5th place, we will have very big problems. Our players have to understand that we have to be more motivated than them if we want to beat them.

Dinamo will have the greatest motivation. We also know what it's like to come after bad results. From my point of view, Dinamo are playing their last chance at the title if they don't win. It will be a terribly difficult match.

It was much simpler last match, when Dinamo was in front and on big horses, and we were coming after a bad period”, said Victor Angelescu, according to sport.ro.

The last victory achieved by Dinamo against Rapid at the level of the first division dates back to 2015, when they prevailed at home with a score of 2-0. Since then, Dinamo and Rapid have faced each other 11 times in League 1, and the people from Giulești won 6 times, the other 5 matches ending in a draw.
