The British government is thus dissociating itself from the decision of the United States, which a day earlier announced a temporary, 30-day easing of sanctions on Russian oil loaded on tankers before March 12.

He drew attention to the cooperation of European countries and the decision of the International Energy Agency (IEA) to release approximately 400 million barrels of crude oil from emergency reserves.
Britain consistently emphasizes that sanctions are not only a tool of pressure on the Kremlin, but also an expression of solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
