The statements were made by Yahya Rahim Safavi, in an intervention on Iranian state television.

“Trump is the most corrupt and stupid American president”, said Safavi, who named the Washington leader “Satan in Person”, reports AFP, quoted by Agerpres.

Threats to Israel

The Iranian official claimed that, in his view, Israel and Iran cannot coexist in the Middle East.

“In the Middle East, Israel and Iran cannot coexist. One of the two must remain. The one that will remain is Iran, and the one that will be destroyed is undoubtedly the Zionist regime,” said Yahya Rahim Safavi.

He also stated that the United States would have been “humiliated” and argued that developments in the region could lead to a decisive victory for the Islamic Republic.

Predictions regarding the end of the war

According to Safavi, the conflict could end before the Persian New Year, which begins on March 20. The Iranian official also claimed that, in the long term, China and Russia will emerge stronger, amid the growth of their economic and military power.

Yahya Rahim Safavi was appointed military adviser by Iran's former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed on the first day of the war. Safavi is on the list of internationally sanctioned persons.
