These increases are faster than in most European Union countries, except Finland.

Popular car sales websites such as Carwow and Meinauto.de confirm that more and more people are considering purchasing electric vehicles. Philipp Sayler von Amende, CEO of Carwow, said that since February 28, the share of electric car configurations on weekends has increased from 55 to 63 percent. “This shows that many consumers are responding to rising fuel costs,” he added.
At the same time, he noted that interest in cars with traditional engines is falling – currently, petrol and diesel models account for only about 23 percent. configuration, which is a lower result than at the end of February.

The company emphasizes that the current market situation clearly affects consumer preferences.
In January, the German Ministry of the Environment announced that private customers can again apply for state subsidies when purchasing electric cars, plug-in hybrids and electric cars with extended range. The amount of support depends on the type of vehicle and the buyer's personal situation and ranges from PLN 1.5 to PLN 6,000. euro.

The government in Germany is reacting to the increase in fuel prices
In response to the sharp increase in fuel prices, German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche announced that the government plans to introduce a model limiting the possibility of price increases at gas stations.
According to this solution, stations in Germany could in the future increase fuel prices only once a day, but reductions would be possible at any time. A similar system already operates in Austria. Reiche also announced that Germany intends to release part of its strategic oil reserves.
