In the Oktyabrsky district of Krasnoyarsk, the Serebryany square will be renovated this year. The project is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the regional capital.

The plans include replacing the asphalt with paving stones, updating children's and sports grounds, installing new street furniture and creating a quiet recreation area. They will also modernize the stage, equip a dog-walking area, replace the lighting (the cables will be removed underground) and add lighting decor. There will be video surveillance systems and new flower beds with perennial plants.

The work will be financed by Montenegrin GRK (part of the Russian Platinum group). All changes will be discussed with residents; in the spring, the district administration will hold an urban forum. The date will be announced additionally.

Silver Square is one of the largest public spaces in the city, located between Vysotnaya, Krupskaya and 2nd Khabarovskaya. It was improved in 2018-2019 under the federal program, but recently residents began asking for it to be modernized.

Silver Square was included in the list of objects that are being spruced up for the city’s anniversary. This year, the Yaryginskaya and Central embankments, Enthusiasts and Cosmonauts squares, Gvardeysky Park and the park named after the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk will also be renovated.
