The carrier noted that employees of the conductor teams check the wagons after each run and hand over found items to designated points. He recalled that from 2024, passengers will be able to use the electronic lost and found register, which makes it easier to find items left behind. “Information about secured items is automatically published on the carrier's website. In the appropriate form, passengers can efficiently filter the database. The search engine allows you to find lost items according to criteria such as travel date, train number and route, or type of item,” he explained.
Once you have located your item in the online registry, please contact any Lost and Found location to arrange a pickup location and details. Intercity passengers have 3 days to collect the lost item. In accordance with applicable regulations, after this deadline, items with an estimated value exceeding PLN 100 are transferred to the appropriate district office. “If the office refuses to accept them, the items are kept for another 30 days. After this period, uncollected items are liquidated or transferred to charitable organizations,” the company explained.
