Five principles of conflict resolution

The head of Chinese diplomacy presented five principles for solving the current crisis. Beijing demands, above all, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries in the region. Second, Wang opposed the abuse of force, emphasizing that civilians cannot be victims of war and the world cannot retreat to the “law of the jungle.”

The third pillar is the principle of non-interference – Beijing categorically rejects attempts to overthrow governments or trigger “color revolutions”, recognizing that the fate of the region should be decided by its inhabitants. The fourth point is a call for a political solution and a return to the negotiating table. In the fifth point, the Chinese diplomat appealed to world powers to “return to the path of justice” and take responsibility for peace, instead of striving for domination.

Wang assured that China, as a strategic partner of Middle Eastern countries, is ready to cooperate to restore order in the region under the Global Security Initiative.

Donald Trump's visit to China

The head of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also referred to the visit of US President Donald Trump to China, announced for the end of March. He warned that the lack of dialogue between superpowers risks global conflict. “We cannot change each other, but we can change the way we coexist,” he said, calling for relations to be based on mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.

The minister expressed hope that 2026 will bring stability between Washington and Beijing. The aim of Donald Trump's visit to China is to “extend the list of cooperation and shorten the list of disputes.” Wang stressed that successful summit talks are essential to avoid catastrophic misunderstandings and to meet the expectations of the international community.
