Paulo Dybala (32), the attacking midfielder from AS Roma, is in the last months of his contract with the Italians and may return to Argentina. He would have wanted Boca Juniors.

Paulo Dybala's contract with AS Roma expires next summer, and the Argentine forward's future remains uncertain. The player has already started talks to return to his native country.

Paulo Dybala can go to AS Roma

As his collaboration with “Giallorossi” ends in June, Dybala has the right to negotiate freely with any team he wants. The Argentine star is currently unavailable due to injury.

As journalist Matteo Moretto reports, the 32-year-old striker would be in contact with Boca Juniors. This scenario foresees his return to Argentina after 14 years spent in Europe.

In parallel, Rome is considering the possibility of offering him a new contract, but with significantly reduced financial remuneration. The situation is also monitored by other European clubs. In the current season, Dybala has made 22 appearances in the Romanian shirt, with a record of 3 goals and 4 assists.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini had spoken about the possibility of Dybala and Pellegrini, as well as other important footballers, extending their contracts with Roma.

“I think these two players have already spoken to the management. But for the survival of the club we have to reduce the wage bill. It's not that the team doesn't want it, but it has to be reduced. If an agreement is reached, fine. Otherwise, we will split,” the coach said.
