Adrian Ilie, the first reaction after Gigi Becali's offer: “That's what I promised him”

Adrian Ilie (51 years old), the former great Romanian international, offered the first reaction after Gigi Becali proposed him to return to FCSBthis time in the position of technical director and in charge of scouting. The owner of the Romanian champion wants to create a special department for transfers, and “Cobra” would take care of its organization, receiving a salary of approximately 12,000 euros per month.
Adrian Ilie also worked for the red-blue team in the 2007-2008 season, when he held the position of general manager. Becali's decision comes after FCSB missed qualifying for the Superliga play-off for the first time. The owner of the club announced that he will take several measures, the first being the establishment of a scouting department.

The former striker confirmed that he had a telephone conversation with Gigi Becali and that he is going to meet with him to discuss the proposal made.
“I'm going to give him an answer. We haven't had a conversation apart from five or six days ago, on the phone, two minutes. I promised him I would get to him and I will. It is not known when, but if I promised him that I would arrive, I would arrive. Now there are matches in the championship. Didn't you see he said I was the first transfer? We are not in the transfer period yet”, said Adrian Ilie.
Asked about the salary that has been talked about in the public space, the former international denied that money would be a deciding factor.
“I assure you that I will not take any salary at Steaua (no – FCSB). I don't go on any salary. The first time I have to decide what to do, then we'll see,” said Adrian Ilie, according to prosport.ro.
