Politician arrived at the hospital with a facial fracture: “They gave with hate” / What the accused says

Beats on Thursday in the local council meeting in a commune in Ilfov. Councilor Constantin Stoian (AUR) claims that he was beaten in the local council meeting of Vidra commune, in Ilfov county, by a PSD councilor and the former PNL mayor of the locality. Following the incident, the AUR adviser says he arrived at the Bagdasar-Arseni Emergency Hospital with a facial fracture. HotNews also spoke with one of the people accused of aggression: the PSD councilor, Constantin Marinescu. He said: “It's his problem. Let everyone take it.”

During the Vidra local council meeting, held on Thursday, March 5, during the afternoon, Constantin Stoian claims he was beaten by Constantin Marinescu, local councilor from the PSD, and by the former PNL mayor of the Vidra commune, Gabriel Dinića, says the assaulted, supported by a witness.

“The aggressors were Marinescu Constantin and Dinića Gabriel, who do not know how they ended up in the council room, not being councillors. I had published in the media certain aspects related to the corruption in the town hall that concerned them as well. Everything was premeditated. Dinića questioned me with the appellation “who … are you, you, to talk about these things”, said the councilor AUR Stoian.

The politician claims that he was assaulted and that he was saved by the intervention of another local councilor, his colleague from AUR Matei Lucian.

“I realized what his intention was. I was sitting on the chair, I got up and Gabriel Dinića came aggressively in front of me, I pushed him, and Marinescu came from behind hitting me hard, then they knocked me down and started to kill me with hatred… if Matei Lucian didn't intervene, they would have killed me in a fight. They hit me with ferocious sadism, even as I was down,” said Constantin Stoian.

Stoian accuses the “PSD-PNL mafia” in the town and says that “I was always threatened by their people”.

Following the incident, the AUR councilor was transported by ambulance to the Bagdasar-Arseni Emergency Clinical Hospital in the capital.

He says that he was diagnosed with a facial fracture, and that he is to be transported to the Clinical Hospital for Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery “Prof. Dr. Dan Theodorescu”.

The politician also states that police officers from Ilfov also arrived at the hospital, who drew up a report.

The local AUR councilor also published a short video message on his Facebook page, in which he appears with blood on his face and a strong swelling, in which he states that “if you tell the truth, the PSD-PNL mafia is trying to kill you”.

The reaction of the accused PSD councilor

Contacted by HotNews, the one described as the aggressor, Constantin Marinescu, did not deny the incident.

The PSD local councilor replied, regarding Stoian Constantin's statements: “It's his problem. Let each one assume it.” “So, I have nothing to discuss, each body does its duty, yes? I have nothing to comment on,” added Constantin Marinescu.

“Leave him alone, I have nothing to discuss with this character who is… of a low caste, yes?”, the social democratic councilor also said.

What a witness says, from AUR

Local councilor Lucian Matei, from AUR, a colleague of the assaulted, says that he witnessed the local council meeting on Thursday. He confirmed the incident to HotNews. He claims that the two aggressors were the PSD councilor and the former PNL mayor.

“They approached him, he didn't react with anything at all… apart from falling down and punching his legs during the meeting, at 3:00 p.m. After the first 10 minutes, the scandal started. He disturbed the aggressors, making a video on TikTok about the buildings of the commune, like the cooperative and the local hostel. It's not the first time that he and I have been attacked. This is the second, third time,” said Lucian Matei, for HotNews.

In a press release, the AUR reacted, condemning “firmly the serious aggression that took place during the meeting of the Vidra Local Council (Ilfov county), where the AUR local councilor Constantin Stoian was attacked and beaten by the PSD-PNL local councillors”.

“According to the available information, the aggression was committed by PSD local councilor Constantin Marinescu, together with Gabriel Dinića, former PNL mayor and current head of ANL, present at the council meeting as a guest,” says AUR.

“The reason for the conflict is an outrageous one: the AUR councilor Constantin Stoian has publicly signaled, including through materials published on social networks, situations in which community assets have come into the possession of people close to the PSD-PNL network. Among them are the transfer of the cultural home to Gabriel Dinića for a period of 49 years, as well as the sale of the former Cooperative building for the sum of approximately 60,000 euros to the PSD councilor involved in the aggression”, he accused AUR.

“It is inadmissible for a local elected official to end up in the hospital because he had the courage to speak about the way a community's assets are administered. Instead of a civilized debate, representatives of the PSD-PNL political network are once again choosing intimidation and violence”, say the representatives of the formation.
