What grade does Trump give to the American military operation against Iran – VIDEO

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the war against Iran is a great success in these early days of the conflict, reports CNN.

“We're doing very well on the war front, to put it mildly,” Trump said during an unrelated event at the White House. “I would say – someone asked: on a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate it? I said around 15.”

Trump's assessment echoed that of other officials in his administration who provided updates on the conflict later Wednesday.

The US president said that “Iran's missiles are being rapidly eliminated and their launchers are being destroyed.”

He mentioned Iran's attacks on neighboring countries, but did not dwell on it.

“They're attacking their neighbors. They're attacking, in some cases, their allies — or allies that not too long ago were their allies. And, you know, it's really a nation that was out of control,” Trump said.

The US president has again suggested he has no clear opinion on who might lead Iran next after its top leaders were killed.

“Their leadership is disappearing fast,” he noted. “Anyone who looks like they want to be a leader ends up dead.”

Donald Trump repeated his justifications for the attack launched against Iran, saying that Tehran was on the way to acquiring nuclear weapons, AFP also notes.

“When crazy people have nuclear weapons, bad things happen,” Trump said at the White House event, which brought together technology executives.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt had earlier said in a press briefing that the “rogue Iranian terrorist regime” was on the verge of being “completely destroyed” and that Iran would “pay for its crimes.”
