In an interview given to Gazeta Sporturilor, Victor Angelescu, minority shareholder and president at Rapidspoke about the situation of the players on loan and about the medical problems that have arisen recently.
After the injuries of Baroan and Gojkovic, the people from Giulești received new bad news: Raul Stanciu was also seriously injured.
On July 23, Rapid announced the transfer of Raul Stanciu, bought from Lecce, in Italy, where he spent the 2024/2025 season. The left midfielder has signed a 5-year contract and is considered to be a long-term solution.
He did not enter the plans of coach Costel Gâlcă for the moment, so he was transferred last summer in League 2, to CS Tunari, with the hope that there he will benefit from the minutes that will help him develop.

The Giulești official revealed that Raul Stanciu was seriously injured and will not be able to perform until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old footballer will undergo surgery, and the management of Rapid hopes that he will return to the field in the coming season.

– What are your expectations from the loan players? Jambor I saw that he scored two goals, Pop, Ignat, how do you see them?
– Too bad, we had at least two, three players who were very unlucky. They were seriously injured. I am referring here to Baron, Gojkovic. Now Raul Stanciu also got injured, who was on loan at Tunari. Naturally we expect him to play as much as possible. We watch their matches. I saw that Rareș Pop often plays at Petrolul. Ignat also came in and played. Jambor, as you also said, has now had a very good evolution. He scored two goals, provided an assist. Sometimes it's good. Players have to play, especially young players. That's why I loaned them, to have as many matches as possible, to evolve and gain more experience, and when they return, we can rely on them, those who prove. We're keeping an eye on everyone. That's why I borrowed them, and so did Omar. In the same way, I saw that he is having a good season at Cluj University. In the summer, those who played well and those who gained experience will remain in the Rapid team.
– What information do you have about Baroan and Gojkovic's injuries?
– Baroan and Gojkovic know it's the end of the season for both of them. I mean, you have nothing else to do. Unfortunately, it seems to be the same with Raul Stanciu. It's the end of the season. They operate, they operated. Sometimes this happens in the life of an athlete, to have a more serious injury. We are waiting for them back and next season will hopefully be different.
It's a great pride that I managed to reach Rapid, but I don't want to stop and I want to prove that I can be better with time. As a footballer, I am hardworking, soulful and modest. I have strength, speed and ambition.
