Despite the fact that he is going through a very good period on Argeș's bench, qualifying for the Superliga play-off and the semifinals of the Romanian Cup, Bogdan Andone could leave the team at the end of this season.

Dani Coman, the president of FC Argeș, confirmed that the technician is wanted in Belgium, but did not reveal the name of the formation that is interested in his services. According to the previously mentioned source, people from Bogdan Andone's circle said that it would be Genk, a team from the Belgian first league, but also a constant presence in the European cups.

“We want to continue with Bogdan Andone from the summer, especially since he has a contract with us, but at the moment I am not sure that this will happen. I cannot confirm the name of the team you are telling me about, but it is true that he is wanted by a very good team in Belgium.

Bogdan was very fair with me and communicated this to me. If he wants to leave in the summer, then we will not opposebecause he helped us a lot to achieve extraordinarily good results. And humanly, we can't even oppose him going to a place where financially he could earn very well and much more than at FC Argeș.

Bogdan Andone deserves such an offer because he is a very good coach. However, we will see at the end of the regular season what decision Bogdan will make. We have to focus now only on the upcoming matches and nothing more,” said Dani Coman, according to the previously mentioned source.

Bogdan Andone took over the Pitesti team while it was playing in the 2nd League. The promotion to the Superliga was successful, but also the surprising qualification in the play-off of the competition. On Wednesday, he also qualified for the semi-finals of the Romanian Cup, after a dramatic victory over Gloria Bistrița, score 3-2.

During his career, Andone also coached teams such as FCSB, Astra Giurgiu, FC Voluntari, Poli Timisoara, FC Botoșani or Apollon Limassol (Cyprus).

Who is Genk?
