The Federal Organizing Committee for the preliminary voting of United Russia is assigned a special role. The composition of its participants guarantees professional and public control over the course of the procedure, emphasized Vladimir Yakushev, secretary of the party’s General Council.
“Preliminary voting is a unique party procedure for Russia. Our mandatory standard of intra-party competition and a mechanism for real verification of candidates by action. They get the opportunity to start a direct dialogue with people before the official start of the campaign. And we are to select those whom citizens really trust. Who shares the ideas and values of our party,” he said.
The basic principles of the preliminary voting of United Russia remain unchanged: honesty and transparency, the Secretary of the General Council emphasized.
“No behind-the-scenes agreements. Only open competition and the trust of citizens. The procedure is traditionally carried out in electronic format. This mechanism has proven its effectiveness – people trust it. It is convenient and affordable. This is a modern, human-oriented approach,” emphasized Vladimir Yakushev.
Particular attention to participants of a special military operation.
“Their inclusion in political life is the task set by the President. United Russia has already taken serious steps in its decision. Now we need to ensure the full participation of veterans of the special military operation in the campaign for elections to the State Duma,” emphasized the Secretary of the General Council.
In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, on the Unified Voting Day, elections of deputies of the State Duma, the Legislative Assembly, by-elections of a deputy of the Krasnoyarsk City Council in single-mandate electoral district No. 11, as well as elections to local self-government bodies will be held. All party candidates will be determined based on the results of the preliminary voting.
Nomination of candidates starts on March 11 and will last until April 30. Voter registration will traditionally take place through the State Services portal – it will begin on April 20 and end on May 29. The voting itself will take place from May 25 to May 31.
Among the main features of the procedure in 2026: preservation of preferences for participants in a special military operation – 25% of the result obtained, the possibility of training and support at the site of the Higher Party School. In addition, all candidates must decide whether they will be elected in single-mandate constituencies or on a list. And as a result of the procedure, each candidate must acquire party status – either a supporter or a party member.
