Israel sends troops to southern Lebanon
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz authorized the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to take control of additional strategic positions in southern Lebanon after attacks by the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have authorized the Israel Defense Forces to advance and take control of additional strategic positions in Lebanon to prevent attacks on Israeli border communities,” Katz said in a statement.
