“A short time ago, the Israeli Air Force struck and destroyed the communications center of the Iranian terrorist regime” in Tehran, the Israeli military (IDF) said, referring to IRIB, in a press release accompanied by an infographic image of the building.
“The activities taking place in the compound were led and coordinated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Over the years, the Iranian Broadcasting Authority has called for the destruction of the state of Israel and the use of nuclear weapons,” the Israeli military added.
The bombing followed an evacuation warning for Iranian civilians that targeted the area in northern Tehran where IRIB's headquarters are located.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) building had already been targeted by Israel during the June 2025 war.
Israeli Air Force fighter jets dropped “dozens of bombs” on the building a short time ago, “destroying it”, the IDF claimed.
According to the Israeli military, the “communications center of the Iranian terrorist regime” was being used to “promote military activities under the guise of civilian activities and assets, in addition to propaganda activities emanating from the communications center.”
The IDF also claims that activities in the compound were carried out by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
