Blogger MIA BOYKA made fun of a girl wearing a cat mask on stage, after which her parents filed a police report against the artist
The story took place in the city of Nadym, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. An eight-year-old girl wearing a cat mask and an artificial tail got lost during a concert, and was brought onto the stage so that her parents would notice Maryana.
The blogger turned to the girl with a question: “Are you a quadruple, God forbid?” — to which the girl answered “yes,” and then MIA BOYKA decided to make fun of her. With the next question, she turned to the crowd – she asked whether her spectators supported the quadrobers.
The artist posted footage from the concert on her social networks, but deleted it after a wave of hate. Maryana's parents filed a police report against the blogger, and the eight-year-old girl was supported by various celebrities – from Ekaterina Mizulina to Mabey Baby and Yegor Creed.
MIA BOYKA herself at first insisted that she simply “has the courage to call a spade a spade,” but then apologized and asked to withdraw the statement. She also invited the girl who was offended by her to a meeting in Moscow to make amends, but Maryana’s mother is in no hurry to agree to the offer.
