A resident of Achinsk sued 148 thousand rubles for a kitchen of the wrong color and with chips

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a furniture maker will return 148 thousand rubles to a resident of Achinsk for a poor-quality kitchen. This was reported in the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

The woman entered into a contract for the production of kitchen units to individual sizes and paid for the order in full – 95,800 rubles. However, two months later, when the finished furniture was delivered to her, it turned out that the apron and tabletop were made in brown, although “wet asphalt” was ordered.

During assembly, other problems were revealed: the frame for the dishwasher and two fronts on the top drawer were missing, the tabletop turned out to be 1.5 centimeters larger, and there were chips on the parts. The woman sent a complaint to the entrepreneur, but received no response.

Then she contacted Rospotrebnadzor. Department specialists prepared a claim and represented her interests in court. The court ordered IP Izotov S.K. within 10 days, eliminate all kitchen deficiencies and pay the consumer more than 148 thousand rubles.

This amount included a penalty for violation of deadlines (95,800 rubles), compensation for moral damage (3 thousand) and a fine (49,400 rubles).
