A fourth US serviceman has died in the Middle East war. He had been injured in the Iranian attacks

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Monday, March 2, that a fourth member of US forces who had been wounded during the initial Iranian strikes has died.

“As of 7:30 a.m. ET on March 2, four members of the U.S. military had been killed in combat. The fourth member, who was critically wounded during the initial Iranian strikes, eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is kept confidential until 24 hours after the next of kin have been informed.” transmit CENTCOM on X.
Iranian strikes were reported apparently in several regions, but the US did not specify where the attack took place, as a result of which this soldier was injured, writes the BBC.
Also on Monday, an Iranian drone reportedly struck the United States Embassy in Kuwait.
“Do not come to the embassy. Take shelter in your residence on the lowest available floor, away from windows. Do not go outside”the US Department of State for Consular Affairs said.
The embassy advised people to take shelter immediately if they hear a loud explosion or siren, go to the lowest level of a building if inside, and stay away from any windows or openings.
“Be aware that even if the approaching missile or drone is intercepted, falling debris is a significant risk”the institution stated.
In an official message to the United Nations, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi accused the United States and Israel of involvement in the alleged “assassination” of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling on the Security Council to investigate the situation.
