Announcement expected. The new star of Italian television will be the new co-presenter of the Sanremo Festival

Next year's edition, the 77th edition of the Sanremo Festival, will have a new presenter. His name was announced on Saturday evening on the stage of the Ariston theater by the host of the last two editions, Carlo Conti.
“It is a great honor for me: I can officially announce that Stefano De Martino will be the presenter and artistic director of the next edition of the Sanremo Festival.” on the evening of the final, Carlo Conti found time to do something no one had done before: to announce his successor live, writes Corriere della Sera.
De Martino, aged 36, is the presenter of the Affari Tuoi contest, from Rai 1, a show he took over after the departure of Amadeus, who had also led the Sanremo Festival for five editions.
- The music director of the festival plays a decisive role in the selection of songs that enter the competition.
Before entering television, De Martino was a dancer, and lately his name has been circulated as a favorite to take over the Festival. Along with De Martino, next year's festival will be presented by one of Rai 1's most famous stars, Antonella Clerici.
The Sanremo festival is also traditionally broadcast in Romania, by TVR 1.
