In Achinsk, police detained a 16-year-old technical school student who rented out a bank account to scammers. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.

The police found out that in October 2025, the young man found an advertisement on the Internet offering easy money. Achinets followed the specified link and contacted the “employer” in one of the messengers. The essence of the proposal was to transfer money received into his bank account to the details provided by the curator. For his services, the guy received 4% of the transaction amount as a reward. Within a month, he received 200 thousand rubles, which he redirected to the specified recipients, earning 8 thousand.

A criminal case was opened against the previously convicted guy under Part 4 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was given a measure of procedural coercion in the form of an obligation to appear.

Police officers draw the attention of teenagers to the illegality of such earnings. Renting out your bank accounts, social media and instant messenger accounts entails criminal liability.
