
Tender, creamy and incredibly aromatic French rice porridge with milk is prepared in 30 minutes. The recipe for the dish was shared by Ukrainian culinary YouTube blogger Tatyana Yarovaya.
Ingredients:
- 165 g round rice;
- 550 g milk;
- 330 g cream;
- 90 g sugar;
- vanillin;
- 3 yolks.
Preparing the rice
- Rinse the rice in cold water until transparent.
- Pour water over the washed rice, bring to a boil and immediately drain the water. This speeds up further cooking and makes the porridge more tender.
Prepare the milk base
- Pour milk, cream, sugar into a clean saucepan, then add blanched rice and stir.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer over low heat. Stir occasionally until the porridge becomes thick and creamy. This will take about 20 minutes.
- When the rice is ready, gradually add the yolks, stirring to prevent them from curdling.
- Turn off the heat and add vanilla for flavor.
