Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany held his press conference ahead of Saturday's (7.30pm) away match against Borussia Dortmund in the derby of the 24th round of the Bundesliga.
The Bavarians have a comfortable 8-point lead at the top of the standings over the “yellow-blacks”.

Borussia suffered a heavy blow ahead of 'Der Klassiker' after the team was crushed 1-4 by Atalanta and was eliminated from the Champions League.
“This is «Der Klassiker». It has its own meaning and we have to make it as big as possible. I think it is good. It is important for the Bundesliga that we have a top game tomorrow, none of the teams should be afraid. We want to beat Dortmund. And Borussia should think similarly, that's what makes him so important, it has to be”, Kompany began.

Vincent Kompany: “Eliminating Borussia was a failure”
“Knocking Borussia out of the Champions League was a setback for them. You never know how they will react to it. Psychically, it always has an effect, it can develop in any way. The Bayern coach continued with his expectations for the match: “I expect Dortmund to press and keep the game open with a lot of energy, they are capable of that, they have the ability to press. But whether that will decide tomorrow's game, I don't know. From our point of view, things are clearer: we will definitely give it our all, I can say that from now on. The rest depends on the opponent. Whether they retreat to defense or attack, we know what our priorities will be. We are playing against a top team, it will not be easy for us”.
