6 minutes in pajamas – and the body wakes up, and the day starts easily: a lazy morning routine instead of coffee and an alarm clock

If you wake up with a feeling of heaviness in your body, a stuffy face or a “cotton” head, do not rush to grab coffee. Try this gentle morning ritual. It will not replace sleep, but it will help to gently “turn on” blood circulation, relieve swelling and prepare the body for the day without jumping, planking and effort. Do it right in bed or on the floor.

1. Solar plexus breathing – 1 minute

Lie on your back, place your palm on the area under your chest (solar plexus). Inhale through your nose, directing the air down to your stomach. Exhale slowly through your mouth. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system and kickstarts digestion.

2. “Cat stretch” – 8–10 times

Get on all fours. As you exhale, round your back and lower your head (cat pose). As you inhale, bend your back and look up (cow pose). This gently warms up the spine and relieves morning stiffness.

3. Raising the knees to the chest – 10 times on each leg

Lie on your back. Alternately pull your knees to your chest, hugging them with your arms. This massages the internal organs, improves peristalsis and helps avoid bloating.

4. Squeeze the buttocks with breathing – 20 seconds

Lie on your back, tighten your buttocks as if you were holding a piece of paper between them. Pause, then relax. Repeat 3 times. This gently activates the pelvic floor muscles and improves posture first thing in the morning.

5. Lymphatic drainage of the face – 1 minute

Using your fingertips, lightly stroke: from the chin to the ears, from the wings of the nose to the temples, from the center of the forehead to the temples. This relieves morning swelling and revitalizes the skin.

6. Pull up – 1 minute

Lie on your back, stretch your arms above your head, stretch your head in one direction, your heels in the other. Feel how your whole body lengthens. This awakens your muscles and improves your posture throughout the day.
Do this routine every day when you wake up—even if you wake up before your alarm. Within a few days you will notice that you wake up easier, your face is fresher, and the morning passes without haste and irritation.
