The status of the restored historical house on Karl Marx Street in Krasnoyarsk has been changed

24 February 15:50

In Krasnoyarsk, the category of historical and cultural significance for a house under restoration has been changed.

We are talking about the house at Karl Marx, 22. The service for the state protection of cultural heritage sites of the Krasnoyarsk Territory explained that the building was previously included in the list of cultural heritage sites of local significance. Now it has been moved to a similar list, which contains objects that are significant for the region.

Service representatives also changed the name of the house. Previously it had the name “House of Kuskovs”, and now it has been renamed “House of Doctor I.I. Kuskova.”

“The basis for such changes was the act of the state historical and cultural examination, which contained substantiated conclusions for the regional authority for the protection of cultural heritage sites to make decisions and issue these orders,” the press service explained.

Let us remind you that the “House of Doctor Kuskov” is included in the “small historical quarter” of Krasnoyarsk along with the two-story “House of N.A. Fon-Ezersky” on Karl Marx, 24. Now the houses are in the process of restoration. They were completely rebuilt, replacing rotten ones and restoring lost parts. In the courtyard of this “quarter” a small museum will be created, the main element of which will be the elements of the defensive system of the Krasnoyarsk fort (XVII-XVIII centuries) found in this place with traces of a fire. The best preserved section of the palisade, as well as the unique remains of the ancient moat, will be covered with a glass dome.
