A 13-year-old student allegedly jumped from the 1st floor of the school where he studies. “He didn't fall, he jumped.” What would have pushed him to this gesture

The investigation is ongoing.
“The First Aid crew picked up a 13-year-old child, conscious, from the scene of the request. He claimed a lumbar trauma and had a suspicion of a lower limb fracture. He was stabilized and transported to UPU Pediatrics”, declared, for the quoted source, the spokesperson of ISU BN, Marius Rus.
The mayor of Telciu: “He jumped”
Initial reports suggest that it was not an accident.
The mayor of the Telciu commune, Sever Mureșan, told the local newspaper Bistrițeanul.ro that the boy would have thrown himself into the void on purpose.
“He didn't fall, he jumped”emphasized the mayor.
The same version is also supported by the school director, Domnica Homei, who says that two colleagues would have seen him climb onto the windowsill before throwing himself, in a quick movement that could not have been prevented by the teachers on duty.
“He told me he was weighed down by the difficulties of life”
The headmistress says that, immediately after the incident, she went to the student to understand what happened. The boy allegedly told him that “he is weighed down by the hardships of life“, without elaborating on the reasons.
The school management states that the minor is a student with good results, quiet, without disciplinary problems or signs that would have indicated a state of distress.
“It all happened in seconds. The windows are open during breaks for ventilation, and no one could have imagined that he would jump. Even his colleagues did not realize what he was going to do”the director explained.
The police are yet to establish whether it was an accident, an impulsive act or a premeditated one. In parallel, the school analyzes the internal situation and talks with the family and teaching staff to understand the emotional context of the student.
We remind you that in January, a 13-year-old boy died after falling from the terrace of a block of flats in the Grand Hill neighborhood of Oradea.
In September 2024, an 18-year-old student jumped from the third floor of a high school in Bacău. The teenager had the farewell ticket in his satchel.
