Heaviness in the legs “goes away” after 1 movement: I do it in the morning right in bed – and by breakfast I feel light

At the end of February, many people notice that the morning begins not only with fatigue, but also with a feeling of “full” legs. Your ankles are swollen, your fingers feel like they are in gloves, and your favorite shoes are already pressing. It doesn't always have to do with salt. Most often, lymph stagnation is to blame after long days without movement, festive feasts and short daylight hours.

There is no need to take diuretics, and there is almost no time to shower or exercise in the morning. At the same time, spring is already on the doorstep, and you want to feel easy in jeans, skirts and even sandals.

There is one simple movement that triggers lymph flow in the lower extremities and returns lightness to the legs. It doesn't require a mat, shoes or even getting out of bed. You can perform it immediately after waking up, lying under the covers.

It activates the “muscle pump” in the feet, improves microcirculation and gently prepares the body for the day.

How to do:

  • Lie on your back, stretch your legs.
  • Slowly reach your heels down as if you want to touch the foot of the bed.
  • At the same time, pull your socks towards you, feel a slight stretch along the entire back of your legs.
  • Stay in this position for 5 seconds, breathe calmly.
  • Relax and repeat 10–12 times.

Do this exercise every morning before getting out of bed. After just 3-4 days, you will notice that the swelling has almost disappeared by the morning, and by the evening your legs don’t get tired so quickly. In a week, you'll be wearing your favorite pants again without discomfort and welcoming spring with a feeling of lightness from your toes to the top of your head.
