Hundreds of people complained of poisoning with “Classic” marshmallows from the VkusVill store. All of them unanimously stated that after eating the dessert they had a severe stomach ache, diarrhea and nausea.
Our subscriber is among the victims. According to him, he and his wife got into trouble. They sent a complaint to the store through the app, and in response received a letter of condolences and advice to seek help from a doctor. At the same time, at the end of the letter, representatives of BB stated that the products were of high quality.
They write online that after dessert, my stomach hurt so bad that medications didn’t help. In reviews of Classic marshmallows, people said that maltitol, an alcohol from starch used as a sugar substitute and sweetener, could be the cause. This substance and other sugar alcohols have a laxative effect, cause diarrhea, and are not recommended for children, adolescents and pregnant women.
