The controversial pop MMA fighter Nabi Nabiev faces seven years in prison in the case of the mass beating of another pop fighter, Arkady Osipyan. The other day, law enforcement officers detained Nabi at one of the capital’s airports – he was returning from filming a second-rate sports reality show.
At the department, Nabiev was told that after the fight Osipyan wrote a statement against him, they charged him under the article “Hooliganism,” they took testimony and took him to court. Servants of Themis sent Nabiev under house arrest.
Nabi's upcoming fights have been cancelled. In April 2024, Nabiev was expelled from Hardcore Fighting, at one of whose shows he staged a massive fight. Then the promotion terminated the contract with Nabi and kicked him out for monkey unsportsmanlike conduct. So he ended up in the reality of another promotion in Thailand, where he supported the wife of boxer Dmitry Bivol, who became famous for bullying her husband.
