A 14-year-old karateka, after sparring, shook his opponent’s hand, took a couple of steps and suddenly died in the Moscow region
The tragedy occurred during classes at the Sports Youth Foundation “Character of an Athlete” in Istra. The young athlete Egor had been practicing martial arts for about 6 years and was well prepared.
Late in the evening, at the end of another training session, the 14-year-old athlete finished sparring and suddenly passed out. The arriving doctors were unable to save the life of the seventh-grader.
The deceased was completely healthy; from time to time he underwent an in-depth medical examination. It is not yet clear what the cause of instant death is. An examination is being carried out.
