Galati Steel is preparing for the match at home with Ato Arad, in the 28th stage of the Superliga. The duel was scheduled for Friday, February 20, starting at 17:00.
A day before the game, the club coached by Laszlo Balint appealed to the supporters to help clear the stadium of snow. In Galati, as in many other regions of the country, it has snowed heavily in the last few days.
Oțelul Galati – UTA Arad, in danger of dispute?!
“SC Oțelul Galați has started the snow removal process for the playing field for the match with UTA Arad! Our club has already started the work to prepare the playing surface for tomorrow's match.
We are appealing to all supporters who want to lend a helping hand: we are waiting for you today, throughout the day, at Stadionul Oțelul to help clear the field of snow. Together we are stronger!”, Oțelul conveyed through social networks.
GSP.ro came into possession of several images of the situation of the snow-covered ground in Galati, and the fans, as well as the club employees, will have a lot of work.

Contacted on Wednesday, Justin Stefanthe general secretary of the LPF, announced that the matches will be played as normal on the scheduled dates and times. He specifically referred to the city of Galati, but he had hopes that the forecast would improve and the weather would allow the game to be played, decisive for the play-off.
Before the game, Oțelul is in 9th place in the Superliga, with 40 points after 27 stages, one behind Arad.
At the moment, the weather is causing problems in Galati and Botoșani. I understood that in Galati the weather will improve, but in Botoșani it is possible, according to the weather forecast, to snow again on Friday.

And Adrian Mihalcea, the coach of the Arada players, was worried about the weather in the conference: “We are considering going by bus as well”
We are also considering leaving by coach, if this is required and we cannot fly. It will be a sacrifice, it will be an extraordinarily difficult road, but we have to get there. If today (no – yesterday) we should have played, surely we couldn't. From the information we have, tomorrow they will bring in the machines and clear the ground.
In the end, only the field has to be cleared of snow, not the whole stadium. I hope that the playing surface will be in good conditions. But only God knows how it will be, because there is a possibility that it will snow on Friday as well. And then everything you manage to clear tomorrow, will be restored on Friday.
