“After the common part, work in thematic groups continued. Discussions focused on practical issues and mechanisms of possible solutions. As of today, both the political and military blocs have finished their work,” wrote the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) in the Telegram messenger.
The head of the delegation thanked the American partners for their “constructive cooperation and readiness to work at a working pace.” He added that President Volodymyr Zelensky will be informed about the results of the first day of talks.
“Tomorrow morning the political and military groups will resume their work,” Umerov noted.

On Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that in this round of peace negotiations, the delegations of Ukraine, Russia and the US will focus, among others, on: on territorial issues. He added that the Russian side will be represented by the special representative of the Russian leader for investments Kirill Dmitriev, the head of military intelligence Igor Kostyukov and Vladimir Putin's adviser Vladimir Medinsky.
The US was to be represented by Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's special envoy, and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
