A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory robbed a jewelry store for 7 million rubles in Novosibirsk (video)

In Novosibirsk, police detained resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, suspected of robbery on one of the city's jewelry stores.

It was established that a masked man entered the trading floor with an object similar to a firearm, demanded that the employee open the windows, took gold items from the shelves and disappeared. The amount of damage amounted to 7 million rubles.

“Operatives identified the suspect, who was on the federal wanted list as accused of a similar crime in a neighboring region. Soon with the help ofbiometric analytics systems of the “Safe City” hardware and software complex he was identified and detained in Novosibirsk. At the man’s place of residence, police found stolen jewelry and an air pistol,” said official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

A criminal case was opened against the attacker under Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Robbery committed on an especially large scale) and was taken into custody. The man is currently being investigated for involvement in other similar crimes.
