He allegedly forced his wife into prostitution in Sweden. More than 100 men were expected to pay

According to information from the NTB news agency, the practice was to last several years and included both physical and online meetings. Investigators say the suspect allegedly sold his wife's sexual services to over a hundred men. Annerstedt says a total of 120 people were identified as having used the services.

In Sweden, it is a criminal offense to pay or attempt to pay for sexual services. It is unclear whether all men identified will be checked as part of the ongoing investigation. Once the proceedings are completed, separate investigations may be launched against the men who purchased the services.

He allegedly drugged his wife with alcohol and drugs. The woman's drama lasted over three years

The man, who is now in his 60s, was arrested in late October. His wife reported him to the police herself. According to Swedish Public Radio, during her interrogation she testified that in some cases she was so heavily influenced by drugs and alcohol that she did not remember everything.

The man pleads not guilty to the charges brought against him. The alleged offenses allegedly occurred between January 2022 and the time of his arrest. Prosecutor Annerstedt is expected to file an indictment in mid-March. According to information provided by SVT, the man had previously been convicted of several crimes, including causing bodily harm and extortion.

All this reminds us of the case of the Frenchwoman Gisele Pelicot, who for years, she was drugged by her husband with psychotropic substances and then sexually abused by men he invited. It is not yet clear how similar the two cases are to each other – due to the ongoing investigation, the Swedish prosecutor's office is not disclosing details.
